The Greene County High School music department will present its annual Dessert Concert Monday, Dec. 15, 7:30 p.m. in the middle school gymnasium.
The concert band will perform “Denbridge Way,” “Christmas Winds” and “Military Escort.” The percussion ensemble will perform “Deck Them Halls.” Jazz Band contest selections will include “Secret Love,” “God Bless the Child” featuring Lakota Larson and the trombone section, and “The Chicken.”
The concert choir will perform “This Christmastide,” “Somewhere In My Memory,” “ Noel” and the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah.” As is the tradition, choir alumni will be invited to join the choir for the “Hallelujah Chorus.”
The Jazzatonics jazz choir will perform “Bye Bye, Blackbird” and “Chattanooga Choo Choo.”
Patrons will have a vast selection of desserts and pies to choose from. There will also be an opportunity to bid on donated items and to purchase a poinsettia at the conclusion of the concert. Tickets are available from any high school music student, at The Printer’s Box and the high school office, or at the door.
